Rev. Johnson V. Have you ever considered studying for the Board exams on your own, without the help of a teacher or a tutor to guide you? That would be extremely difficult, and will result in almost certain failure. Good teachers explain difficult concepts, they point out important aspects of the lesson , they motivate us, they guide and direct our work, they answer questions and clarify doubts, they help us reach a level of competency and show us how to excel. Getting through school or life in general, is always easier if we have a guide or mentor to show us the way. Our Heavenly Father is faithful to provide all that we need to make it to the finish line, so He sent us the best teacher of all, the Holy Spirit. Because of the anointing on our lives, the Holy Spirit is able to lead and direct us. The anointing helps us know all things (1 John2:20 KJV). The Holy Spirit will reveal all that we need to know when we need to know it. We may not know everything, but we will not lack knowing what we need to know. The Holy Spirit, if we depend on Him, will help us say and do the right things at the right time. We survive because of His grace and when we depend on Him, we will achieve excellence. In Isaiah 30:21, God clearly tells us that He will speak to us and direct our path. But we must listen to Him. Our hearts must be set on hearing Him speak to us. God wants to talk to us, the question is, do we really want to hear Him speak? Like tuning a radio to a particular station, we must fine-tune our hearing and build a deeper relationship with our Saviour, so that we can tune out the static and receive a clear signal from Him. Sometimes He speaks from behind us, sometimes He calls out to us from in front of us and sometimes by the side of us, yet always He is with us, He is Emmanuel! Hallelujah! Being lead by the Holy Spirit will result in the following:-
And as any good student would, we must respond to His work in our lives with a changed life and an obedient heart. There is no greater offering than an obedient heart. As a result of the anointing on our lives, we can live the way He wants us to. |
