Ps. Steve Maile
17th October 2010

Have you ever heard of a woman giving birth to a baby without going through a period of pregnancy? It is highly unlikely and unheard of. Unless there is a period of waiting, of growing, of changing, a proper birth will not take place. In the spiritual realm too, we must be pregnant before we can give birth to the supernatural. We must get pregnant with His purpose in order to see the birth of something divine and supernatural in our lives. How will this happen?

Galatians 4:19, God’s will for us is to look like Jesus, so that the world will know Him through us. Romans 8:29 tells us that we were predestined to be conformed to the likeness of Christ.  Our greatest purpose is not to have a great ministry with many numbers, or to be rich and famous, but rather it is to be more like Jesus so that people will see Him in us. The more we become like Jesus, the more the world will move into the place of new ‘births’.

We are not meant to have a form of godliness and yet have an unchanged heart. In order to be pregnant, God’s love has to penetrate to the very core of our beings, of our spirits.

To move onto the next level, we must get pregnant with the next move of God. Movements of God never occur in a set pattern. What worked in the previous revival, will not work again. Our Lord Jesus said that old wine cannot be poured in new wineskins, just as a new patch of cloth cannot be sown on an old piece of cloth. Revivals in times past were great, but we must not stop there. We must go forward and this is only possible if we allow the Holy Spirit to impregnate us with the desire for more of His Presence. Psalm 63:1-5, our hearts must thirst for Him.

Birthing is not easy. Then the birthing process will begin requiring us to PUSH (pray until something happens). We must learn to conceive, incubate and push so that we can birth the deep things of God.

5 things happen when we begin to pursue His face

  • We lack nothing - Psalm 34:10
  • We become impregnated with the Holy Spirit - Isaiah 44:3
  • We feed on His faithfulness – Psalm 37:3
  • We discover that you can do all things through Christ
  • We discover that His loving-kindness is better than life and stay on the honeymoon
